Case Context

Patient: adult Ht: 64 in. Wt: within normal limits
Presenting diagnosis: cervical spine injury after a diving accident, left arm radiculopathy
Planned procedure: anterior cervical fusion C2 – C3, with intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP) monitoring
Past medical history: NKDA, obstructive sleep apnea
Other pertinent details: anticipated difficult intubation
Anesthetic plan: General anesthesia
