Presenting diagnosis: osteoarthritis (hip)
Planned procedure: hip arthroplasty
Past medical history: hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, left ventricular hypertrophy, obesity
Preoperative meds: not provided
Other pertinent details: physical assessment revealed short, thick neck, large tongue relative to size of mouth, an overbite, and Mallampati 2
Anesthetic plan: spinal with general anesthesia
