Case Context

Patient: infant
Presenting diagnosis: dacryostenosis
Planned procedure: dacryocystoplasty
Past medical history: negative
Preoperative meds: none
Other pertinent details: parents reported the patient had no cough, rhinorrhea, wheezing, or recent upper respiratory tract infection; NPO x 6 hrs
Anesthetic plan: mask induction with sevoflurane; no IV
